NYC Metro Iowa Alumni Board Memebers

Brando Guerrero
Board Position: President
Hometown: Perry, IA
Major: Communication Studies, French, International Business
Occupation: Territory Sales Manager
Favorite Hawkeye Memory: It has to be the first home football game of each season during the Fall. Walking all the way out to Kinnick Stadium from campus with a group of friends along with scores of other Iowa fans is such a great memory. I’m fortunate to this day I get to experience a similar feeling with Iowa Alum and fans right here in the heart of NYC. Go Hawks!

Daniel Patterson
Board Position: At Large
Hometown: Dwight, IA
Major: English
Occupation: Higher Education Administrator
Favorite Hawkeye Memory: In the late fall, I would be walking back from working at Hancher and as the sun set, it reflected a gold band across the river. Sometimes the rowing team would be practicing at the time, and would pass through the gold band, and all you saw was their black silhouette against the gold band from the sun. GO HAWKS!

Angelina Tennis
Board Position: Treasurer
Hometown: Jefferson, IA
Major: Dance / Business
Occupation: Sports Account Executive
Favorite Hawkeye Memory: My favorite Hawkeye memory is actually the very first time I stepped on campus. I visited campus in the springtime my senior year of high school, knowing that I was already accepted to two other schools in which I was way more interested. But that spring day changed my life. The way the students buzzed around the Pentacrest, perfectly manicured Hubbard Park with kids playing ultimate frisbee, the smell of the river and foliage when walking from the east side of campus to the west, and the presence of Iowa Pride in the air all completely captivated me. I could feel in my bones that I was meant to be a Hawkeye. And so I was… and to this day… I BLEED BLACK & GOLD!

Daniela Navarro
Board Position: At Large
Hometown: Bettendorf, IA
Major: Business – Management Information Systems
Occupation: Localization Program Manager at Google
Favorite Hawkeye Memory: Playing slip n’ slide down our dorm hallway (Parklawn) with our entire floor! Parklawn was a tiny dorm but I became best friends with my floor. One night (when the RA was out of town) we decided to put soap on the hallway floors and slide down it like a slip n slide! I have such wonderful memories of Iowa, I’d say football games were also some of the best times.
